The public transport stop is two hundred metres away and the university campus is twenty minutes by bus, 3.4 kilometres by road.
Study and co-working space, gym, TV room, shared kitchen and landscaped grounds, plus a staffed reception.
Seventeen beds at the reduced average rate and eight reserved for able and deserving students, including those without means.
Who can apply
The twenty-five beds are split into two quotas, as set out in Ministerial Decree 481/2024: seventeen at a reduced average rate, open to enrolled students, and eight reserved for able and deserving students, including those without means. Students are expected to move in from October 2026; final requirements and amounts will be in the residence's call.
€550 per month in a single room, €475 for a bed in a shared double. The call will confirm rents and charges.
These are the beds under Article 8, paragraphs 2 and 3 of Ministerial Decree 481/2024: two in single rooms and six in doubles, with a lower housing charge for the student. HOMA allocates them through its own procedure, authorised by the Ministry, applying the same merit and income requirements as the ERSU Catania call for 2026-27.
€170 a month for ten months, from 1 October to 31 July: it is the housing contribution of the ERSU Catania call for 2026-27 (€1,700 a year), on a monthly basis
The residence
Systemia, owner of the building and operator of the residence, entrusts HOMA with the commercialisation of the beds at Unires Battiati. The project falls under Ministerial Decree 481/2024 of the Italian Ministry of University and Research, which allocates part of the beds to a reduced average rate and part to able and deserving students, including those without means.
A three-storey building of twelve hundred square metres in Sant'Agata Li Battiati: seven single rooms and nine doubles, with the common areas spread through the building and landscaped grounds.
The common areas are shared by the whole residence, not enclosed within individual flats.
The residence is in Piazza Elio Vittorini, in Sant'Agata Li Battiati, the town bordering Catania to the north.
