Social housing means homes for the grey band: people earning too much to qualify for public housing and too little to sustain market rents. It is not a minority, and it is the band neither answer reaches.
People and households with an income who find no answer in the ordinary market: young couples, workers away from home, families for whom rent leaves nothing for anything else. Rents are capped and allocation criteria are set by each initiative, not by the operator.
More than property management. It means allocating homes under verifiable rules, supporting move-in, keeping relationships alive among residents, stepping in when a situation gets complicated, and reporting to the fund on what happens in the building.
